Kauldron launched – Yonac pack a punch with their new iOS synth app – and at a bargain price

As regulars here will be well aware, I've recently taken the decision to cut back on my posting here on the Music App Blog in order to focus my time on some music production work that's come my way. However, I did suggest I might post occasionally when something caught my attention..... Well, something has....  the arrival of the new - and highly anticipated - synth app from Yonac; Kauldron. I've reviewed a number of Yonac's iOS music apps here on the Music App Blog over the years including … [Read more...]

Layr giveaway results – two winners of Living Memory Software’s mega multi-timbral synth

If you are an iOS music maker with a bit of a synth habit, then you will already be well aware of Living Memory's iOS mega-synth Layr. The app was widely praised on release and, I suspect, helped to ruin more than a few 'I don't need any more iOS synths' promises that folks had made to themselves. I reviewed the app when it was launched here on the Music App Blog....  and, in short, the potential is obvious and, as the demo videos suggest, this is an app can deliver some hugely impressive … [Read more...]

However, things don't seem to be slowing down just yet as now we have the release of Axon 2. Phosphor 2 is Audio Damage's first iOS synth offering. The new release is also an instrument expect, this time around, we have a drum synth. Again, it is a port of a desktop … [Read more...]

Amazingly, that includes contributing to the world of iOS music making … [Read more...]
