Auria sale – FabFilter plugins 25% off for limited time only?

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, WaveMachine Lab's excellent Auria iOS DAW was given a minor update to v.1.155 and is currently 50% off in both the full and LE versions. At UK£17.49 for the full version this is a heck of a lot of DAW for a very modest price. One of the things that makes Auria so attractive, however, is that it offers a series of IAPs to expand the capabilities of the app and that many of these then appear within the app much as VST or AU plugins appear in a desktop DAW. … [Read more...]

Auria update – v.1.55 of WaveMachine Lab’s flagship iOS DAW brings further minor tweaks and still on sale

For many iOS musicians, Auria is the cornerstone of their iPad-based recording process and there is no denying that, as a platform for recording and mixing multi-track audio, Auria is the closest that an iOS music app gets to what's possible on a fully-fledged desktop DAW. This is particularly true in terms of the features provided by the virtual mixer and the routine effects processing options that that provides via the channel strip options. There are also some brilliant additional effects … [Read more...]

Auria update – WaveMachine Lab’s flagship iOS DAW gets tweaks for the iPad Air 2 – and on SALE

There are a number of multitrack recording apps available under iOS and, while there are some excellent contenders that perhaps don't get the attention they really deserve, there are a handful that probably dominate the current market. One of those heavyweights is most certainly WaveMachine Lab's Auria. It was a game changer for iOS when first released and it is still a hugely impressive piece of software. And, while my personal recording app of choice is generally Cubasis (I'm a Cubase user … [Read more...]

Auria update – WaveMachine Lab’s flagship iOS DAW now ready for iOS8

With Cubasis getting iOS8 support a couple of days ago, it's great to see one of the other heavyweight iOS recording apps - Auria by WaveMachine Labs - also getting the 'iOS8 ready' treatment today. This release - v.1.152 - brings a list of routine bugfixes and these are detailed in full on the Auria Discussion Board. However, as with the vast majority of the iOS music app updates over the last week or so, the highlight of the list of changes include support for both iOS8 and Audiobus 2. For … [Read more...]

Both of these iOS music apps are currently half-price on the iTunes App Store to coincide with the 4th of July holiday week-end in the USA. Even at full price, Auria is a heck of a lot of DAW at a ridiculously low price - at the sale price it is a complete steal. Auria update – iOS DAW by WaveMachine Labs brings new editing features for automation

It was only a few weeks ago that I posted a news item on the last Auria update - v.1.142 - from WaveMachine Labs which added a very useful ripple-editing feature. Someone obviously has the coders firmly locked in a dark room as a further update has appeared on the App Store today and this takes the app to v.1.150. While there are a few bug fixes included here, there are also some very useful improvements added when it comes to the editing and copying of automation data. There is now a setting … [Read more...]

iOS mastering apps – Tarekith does a shoot out

If you are interested in giving some DIY mastering a bit of a go on your iPad, then apps such as Final Touch from Positive Grid, Audio Mastering from Igor Vasiliev and Auria (actually, some of the iAP plugins within Auria) by WaveMachine Labs are the best bets currently available. I've reviewed all of these apps here on the Music App Blog but all round music tech guy, electronic musician and mastering engineer Tarekith has just published a post on his blog doing a direct comparison of all … [Read more...]

Auria update – v.1.142 brings new ripple edit mode

If you are looking for the most powerful audio-only iOS DAW app currently available, then you don't really need to look much further than WaveMachineLabs Auria. I produced an in-depth review of the app when it was originally released back in July 2012 and, while the app has received a number of updates since then bringing new features such as Audiobus and IAA support or making new IAP plug-ins available, much of what's described in that review still stands; if you don't know the app, then give … [Read more...]
