Sugar Bytes giveaway – a mega-bundle of iOS music apps available for one lucky winner

cyclop logoLast week, thanks to those very nice people at Steinberg, I was able to giveaway a rather nice bundle of their iOS music apps to one lucky Music App Blog reader (and congratulations again to Jez; I know he is already enjoying using his new set of Steinberg apps). This was, without doubt, one of the most popular giveaways I’ve run via the blog and the only downside was that their could only be one winner….

However, having just updated all their iOS music apps in a couple of batches, Sugar Bytes have now offered to make a further Music App Blog reader smile. This is quite a prize….   One lucky winner will get a copy of each of Turnado, Thesys, Effectrix, WOW Filterbox, Egoist and Cyclop. These apps are all brilliant and I use all of them on a regular basis (as well as the desktop versions of Turnado, Egoist and Thesys).

Cyclop - a mega-mono bass synth on your iPad.

While the format of the prize might be a little different, as usual with the giveaways I run on the blog, the deal is simple; get your name in the hat and see if it gets pulled out.

You can enter the draw in one of two ways.

  • First, if you just want to enter this draw, then use the Contact Us page to leave your details before 10 pm (GMT) on Thursday 21st May, 2015. Make sure to enter ‘Sugar Bytes’ in the message subject line.
  • Alternatively, if you want to get included in this – and every future promo code giveaway run on the site – then sign up for the Music App Blog email list before the deadline. All members of the list will automatically be entered if every draw. You can sign up here and, as a bonus for signing up, you also get a copy of the Music App Blog’s ’25 iOS music apps to get you started’ guide.
Egoist; loop slicing, bass and beat groove-box all in a very streamlined and creative workflow

As soon as I can organise after entries close, I’ll draw a lucky winner at random from all those entered. I’ll then notify the winner by email and include the necessary promo codes. I’ll also post an announcement here. If you do win, do make sure to use the code ASAP – iTunes Redeem Codes generally have a relatively short life span once they have been issued.

Turnado's main display - plenty going on but very easy to use for real-time processing.

If you haven’t given any of these apps a try yet, then do check out the original reviews (ThesysTurnadoEffectrixWOW Filterbox, Egoist, Cyclop) and the various posts on the previous updates (use the ‘search’ box located top-right to find all the Sugar Bytes related posts). While they are all closer to the top-end of the usual iOS music app price range, I’d have no hesitation is saying they each offer good value.

Effectrix - step-sequencing for creative multi-effects :-)

All these apps do take some learning (although there is excellent PDF documentation) but, if you have an experimental streak in your electronic music productions, they are all brilliant and very highly recommend.

So, with many thanks to Nadine at Sugar Bytes for putting the prize together, for one lucky reader, there is a chance to get the full set courtesy of Sugar Bytes support for the Music App Blog. Get yourself entered…. :-)

John, your Blog is too popular these days which lowers my chance of winning.
Please write some insulting remarks about your readers so that people will deregister so that my chances of winning can improve!

      • :-( Sorry…. I keep putting hidden messages in the text of the posts in the hope of putting people off. You have to read them backwards using a mirror for all to become clear…. Anyway,, good luck in the draw. best wishes, John

        • Your latest hidden message reads “The Walrus was Paul.”

But this is a serious giveaway with some heavy duty apps. YurnSteinberg giveaway was big, but I have all of those so I was just observing. However, Sugar Bytes’ presence on my iPad is soarly lacking…i can only be hopeful that my random number is pulled!
