Ruismaker giveaway results – two winners of both of Bram Bos’ iOS AUi plugin drum machines

Download from iTunes App StoreAs I posted a couple of days ago, Bram Bos has just updated both his Ruismaker iOS drum machine apps to include a very clever (and very creative) Euclidean pattern sequencer. Alongside,  PhasemakerTroublemaker and Ripplemaker synth apps , Bram has, over the last 12 months or so, built an impressive catalogue of iOS music apps. All five include AU plugin support and, when used stand-alone, all five now offer excellent phrase-based pattern sequencing.

Given the potential that Audio Units offers, it is perhaps this element of the specification of the Ruismaker/Ruismaker FM apps that will have really got the attention of iOS musicians as much as the spec of the actual drum machines themselves. That said, both do a very good job and, with a suitable AU host and sequencing environment these compact apps are a great sound of synth drum sounds….  and the new sequencer option is brilliant, offering options for all sorts of polyrhythmic madness.

Ruismaker and Ruismaker FM – the two apps have both similar elements and design ethos… but different sound engines…  and both other AU support.

Bram was kind enough to provide me with two copies of both Ruismaker apps to giveaway to a pair of lucky readers here at the Music App Blog. The draw closed yesterday and the winning names were pulled out of the hat this morning….. and the winners are:-

David Cadenhead

Steven Hannon

The winners have now been sent an email with the details of how to get hold of their prizes. Incidentally, if you do appear as a winner in one of these giveaways and you don’t seem to have seen an email from me with the promo code details, then do make sure you check in your junk, trash or spam folders just in case your email system has ‘filed’ the message there :-)

Oh, and if you want to make sure you are entered for all the promo code giveaways that I run through the Music App Blog, then get yourself on the email newsletter list – and pick up your copy of our free ’25 apps’ guide :-)

Ruismaker 2.0 now includes a brilliant Euclidean pattern sequencer when used stand-alone.

Obviously, for AU use, Ruismaker and Ruismaker FM, both apps require a suitable variant of iOS (v.9.3 or later is listed), suitable iOS hardware plus a suitable AU host. The apps are, however, universal and, at just 10MB or so, it should be possible to squeeze both of them in almost anywhere.

Both are priced at a very modest UK£4.99/US$4.99. And the new sequencer mode makes using them as stand-alone apps a very attractive proposition; it’s brilliantly implemented and very creative. If you didn’t win this time around, then hit the App Store download button to find out more….
