BeatHawk giveaway results – 5 lucky winners of UVI’s iOS beat making app

Download from iTunes App Store beathawk logoI posted a full review of UVI’s BeatHawk iOS music app here on the blog a just after it was released. I was hugely impressed with BeatHawk. There are drum/groove box apps that perhaps pack in more features than BeatHawk does but I actually think UVI have struck a brilliant balanced between functionality and ease-of-use with the approach they have adopted in the initial release.

Anyway, UVI seem keen to keep things going forwards with BeatHawk and a number of updates for the app have appeared on the App Store. These have included a few few minor fixes listed, changes to the audio and MIDI preferences, a significant memory optimisation for improved performance and the addition of IAA instrument support to go with the IAA audio support.

Laure Ledien from UVI was been kind enough to provide me with 5 copies of the app to give away to readers at the Music App Blog. Entries closed yesterday and the winning names were drawn at random out of the hat this morning. Again, many thanks also to everyone who entered. The winners should have now received an email with details of how to get hold of their free copy but, for information, the readers names drawn out the hat were:-

Denis Baudat

Gregory Grant

Terry Jones

Magnus (mw+mab)

Markus Schuechner

Incidentally, if you do appear as a winner in one of these giveaways and you don’t seem to have seen an email from me with the promo code details, then do make sure you check in your junk, trash or spam folders just in case your email system has ‘filed’ the message there :-)

BeatHawk is gradually becoming my ‘go to’ pad-based beat/groove construction app simply because it is – once you have spent just a short time with it – so intuitive and streamlined to use. Anyway, check out the full review here and, if you didn’t win this time around, then click on the link below to purchase and download the app from iTunes…  Oh, and if you want to be in with a chance of winning in any of the giveaways that I run here on the blog, then just join the email list; all members of the list are automatically entered.

Here’s hoping the winners enjoy using the app….

      Gregory won twice?!

I wouldn’t mind one of the codes if you’re feeling generous Gregory!

    2. If I had won, I’d give mine to Dan since I already have BeatHawk and am coming to love this app.

John’s mentioned that BeatHawk has become his go-to type of app for certain music projects, and it has taken a little while but now I see what he means. Initially I thought I’d just use BeatHawk as just a sound source (UVI has some fine quality samples, loops, and etc) but the more I’ve used the app the more fun I’ve had inside it and I seem to go back to it quite often.

For those that won, I’m sure you will enjoy this app…as John says it strikes a good balance of performance, quality and ease of use.

Thanks for the good news, I’m happy :-)

The BeatHawk app is really great, but please pay attention to the technical requirement if want to install it, iPad 4+ required ;-)
