AmpKit music app – Agile Partners add new amp models

Download from iTunes App StoreAmpKit logoUsers of Agile Partners’ excellent AmpKit music app guitar amp sim can access some new additional amps and effects from the AmpKit Gear Store as of today.

The AmpKit update v.1.8 adds four new amplifier models plus two new pedals. The new amps are modelled on a 1975 Marshall Master Model JMP 2203 100x lead, a Lab Series 5, a Mesa Mark IIC+ and an Ampeg SVT-YR. The new pedals are based on the TC Electronic Integrated Preamplifier and a Tech21 SansAmp Bass Driver. The various amps and effects are priced between UK£1.49 and UK£1.99 as IAPs.

In addition – and of particular interest to bass players – there is now a ‘Bass Essentials Bundle’ in the store (this IAP is priced at UK£10.49) and includes 5 classic bass amps and their associated cabs plus a couple of effects pedals.

Ampkit sounds great and, aside from working well with the Peavey/Agile Partners LiNK HD, also works well with other guitar-friendly audio interfaces for iOS. See the full Music App Blog review of the app for further details. You can audition all the new models via the AmpKit Store. They all sound very good indeed and, if you are already well hooked into the AmpKit music app world, make very tempting additions to your virtual equipment list.
